PRINCESS LIVING IN HER TINSEL WORLD

Subscribe in a reader

She is a princess of great beauty,
And I am Jack ordinary,
Who cannot take her hand,
Because I don’t have a job
To feed her or make her smile
With things I can’t buy……………..
…………..for she is a Princess living in her tinsel world.

I can’t promise her the moon nor the stars,
I can’t take her to parties by the beachside,
Filled with champagne and caviar.
Only words do I have – to offer
But will she listen………………………...
………….for she is a Princess living in her tinsel world.

My words true by nature,
Will fail on her silent ears
And her closed lips will be the only answer
For my heart’s silent prayers.
And all words I speak will be only air………….
…………..for she is a princess living in her tinsel world.

She’s got people to carry her around,
In cars of her choice
And fancy her with dresses of her wishes.
But all I have for her ,
Is a space in my heart,
To take her through life’s long path,
Only if she could take my hand………………..
……………for she is a princess living in her tinsel world.

She will have many hearts for her disposal
But only one do I have for the proposal,
For her to make or break,
But the truth shall remain the same…………..
……………for she is a princess living in her tinsel world.

Princess Fiona:
It was during my high school teen days when this poem struck me. Lost in the early days of puppy love, with many a heartbreak the words came to me.

I guess a bit of MLTR(Michael Learns to Rock - I am not an actor, I am not a star) influence was there in those words. At that time they were really rocking. Good stuff.

Anyway that's how i started into writing getting inspiration from others : )
Thanks for the appreciative words!!
You made my day :)
